| Futaba GY401 w/ 9253 servo | 9-17-2001 I got the gy401/9253 in and installed it in my Raptor 50. I tried it out after work Tuesday and could not believe how good that gyro/servo is!!! I flew after work the next day and after another really good flight I realized that I 'assumed' the gyro was already set for 'digital' mode only to find out it was turned off. I flew the next tank with it set on and it was even more unbelievable! Why did I wait so long to get this gyro??? :) It's well worth every penny. I consider this the ONLY gyro if you are going to do 3D. And if you are just starting out and can afford it, this gyro will help your learning process, the tail stays where you put it and there is no drifting problems. Update 10-30-2004 - This gyro combo now has the 9254 servo that replaces the 9253. Prices have come down on the combo to about $180 here in the USA. This is still a great gyro/servo combo and has been the most popular for a long time! The only major competitor to this combo is its big brother the GY601. |
