Step 1: (Elevator control arm) The SE version comes with a
metal version of this part and it is not in Bag A. Instead it is
located in Box 2 Bag D. Out of this bag just pull out the metal
elevator control arm, the two A-arms, and the two pins, two
threaded rods, and two links associated with the A-arms.
Unfortunately each of these are in seperate bags.
This ends up
leaving four bags opened up with lots of other parts in them. Set
them aside and be careful not to accidently pick one up and let
the other parts fall out.
Step 2: Put a link on the threaded rod and try to get it
started on a few turns. Next insert the other end of the threaded
rod in the top of the A-arm. Make sure you align the rod straight,
you do not want the link to start crooked in the A-arm.
The links are tight on the rods so it really helps
to have a ball link tool such as the one in the picture on the
left to turn the links. Screw the links until you feel them reach
the bottom then check the distance from the pin hole at the
bottom to the center of the link hole. This distance needs to be
set to 66.5mm for both A-arms. Place an A-arm on the metal
elevator control arm with the label on the link pointed outward.
Insert the pin through both the A-arm and elevator control lever.

Step 3: Next
is the tough part... install the very tiny e-clips on the ends of
the pins. The pins have a groove near each end that the e-clip
snaps into. In the picture on the right you see I position the e-clip
so that it is against the groove. Then place my thumb and finger
on the sides of the e-clip to help prevent the e-clip from flying
away. Next I use some surgical clamps to push the e-clip in place.
Thankfully the manufacturer included two extra e-clips. I did not
loose any but it will be nice to have the extra ones for those
that do. If you drop one it would be very difficult to find it.
