Next from the bag 600NH remove the sub bag 600NH4. Remove the main shaft from the bag. And open the bag 600NH4A and dump the contents in your parts bowl. It has a bolt and nut we need now. Slide the main shaft into the head block. Notice that the main shaft is smaller on one end. The larger side is the side that goes into the head block. Rotate the main shaft so the bolt hole aligns with the bolt holes in the head block. NOTE: On the kit I built I noticed that one side of the head block is flat at the bolt hole and the other is countersunk. The instruction book did not say wether to put the head of the bolt here or the nut. I installed the bolt so the head was there and the nut was on the flat side. If I find out differently then I will change this here in my set of instructions. Install the bolt and nut now.

Next install the mixing base. Notice that there is a short side and a long side. Install the washout base so the short side is toward the head.

NOTE: It maybe necessary to align the pins on the head block so the mixing base slides easily. There should be no resistance. If you push the washout base all the way against the head block then let go the base should fall straight to the ground. On the one I built the pins were not straight. The easiest way to get the pins aligned is to rotate the head block as in the picture above so that you see just a little light between the pin and the main shaft. See the circled area showing the gap between the pin and the main shaft is parallel. There are two directions you can look from for each pin. Make sure the pins are parallel as viewed from all angles. The pins only have to be off just a slight angle to prevent the washout base from sliding freely.
