R30/50 v1 to v2 differences

Back to Main Page

If you have a R30v2 or R50v2, here are some part numbers you need to be aware of. These parts for the v2 have the same part number as the v1 equivalent. TT has improved the new part and since it will still fit the v1 they have kept the same part number. The only problem is that if you order one of these parts from a store, you may get the old part because the numbers are the same. Eventually all the old parts will be sold but until then you will have to specify you want the new version. The new tail shafts have been around for a while, the main thing to look for are the tail fins and pitch arm.
PV0005 elevator A-arms - more plastic around link hole
PV0012 pitch arm - stronger design like the R60 version
PV0013 elevator arm - has cross bracing on top and bottom
PV0030 tail shaft - uses a solid pin secured with a set screw
PV0038 Tail fins - vert fin longer and has ridge to strengthen it

You may notice the R50v2 tail boom has a new part number. This does not mean that it is different, what they did was split up the package. Before you would get the boom, guides, and rod together, now they can be bought seperately. I do like that we can now buy the guides now!
