Radio Setup - Set to helicopter mode

Most computer radios allow you to control both helicopters and airplanes. So you need to make sure the radio is in helicopter mode.
Airtronics RD6000/8000 - Look at the top left of the display where the model number is show. Under this it needs to say 'HELI'. If not then go to 'etc' then down to 'TYP' then press the right arrow button. You will see the word 'YES' on the display asking for confirmation you want to change the model type. Press the 'yes' (aka inc/+) button.
JR 9303 - With the radio off, hold the 'ENT' button while you turn the radio on. Scroll to 'Type SEL' and press in on the scroll wheel. On the next screen use the scroll wheel to select 'HELI'.
JR 8103 - When you turn the radio on if you do not have a drawing of a helicopter in the bottom left of the display then it is not in helicopter mode. Go to the system menu (hold up&down buttons as you turn the radio on). Go to [Type SEL] and use the + or - buttons to select 'HELI'.
JR 6102 - Go to the system menu (hold down and select buttons while turning on) then go to [MODEL TYPE] and the increase or decrease buttons to select 'HELICOPTER'.
JR 662 - Look at the top right of the display, if it has 'HE' then it is helicopter mode. If it has 'AC' then go to the system menu (hold SCROLL and INCREASE while you turn the power on). Press SCROLL to get to 'TYP' then use the INCREASE button to change to 'HE'.
JR 10X - You have to buy the helicopter version of the radio, no changing it in the menu.
Futaba 6X - Go go 'PARA' and then use the cursor button to select 'HELI' and press the + button to activate.
Futaba 8U - Go to 'PARA' then use the right arrow button to get to 'TYPE' and change to 'HELI SHW1'.
Futaba 7C - Go to [PARAMETER] menu and down to 'TYPE:' then set to 'HELI(H-1)'.
Futaba 9C - Go to [PARAMETER] menu and down to 'TYPE:' then set to 'HELI(SW1)'.
Spektrum DX7 - Go to the system menu (hold down and select buttons while turning on) then go to [TYPE SELECT] and the increase or decrease buttons to select 'HELI'.
