Servos |
| Airtronics 94742 | Good for Tail servo: This is a great servo for the Raptor 30. A good tail servo is not just in the specs. This servo has a very smooth characteristic in flight and has given very good holding power with my Telebee gyro. This servo was recommended to me and I'm glad I tried it. I consider it a great deal for the price. Unfortunately for whatever reason Airtronics does not sell this servo anymore :-( |
| Hitec 545 | Good for Aileron / Elevator / Collective on Raptor 30/50 Great servo for the price $26. I have hundreds of flights on these servos. I did goop the motor wires to be safe. UPDATE: This servo failed after over 1100 flights. |
| Hitec 525 | Ok for tail, good for throttle on Raptor 30/50/60/90 Great servo for the price $26. I have hundreds of flights on these servos. I did goop the motor wires to be safe. |
| Futaba 9202 | Great servo for Aileron / Elevator / Collective on
Raptor 30/50/60/90 Smooth action, very dependable servo. Cost about $50 each |
| Futaba 9253 | Great tail servo especially when used with the Futaba GY401 gyro! |
| Futaba 9254 | This is the replacement to the 9253. |
| JR 507/517 | Some have good luck with these servos. From past experience I can not recommend these for anything but hover and forward flight and only on a 30 size heli. |
| JR 2700 | Great tail servo for Raptor 30/50/60/90 |
| JR 8700 | This is the replacement for the 2700. Note that if used on a 72Mhz radio systems (US radios) then this servo can cause radio problems on FM(PPM) receivers. Rather then fix the problem after it was discovered they just bought a bunch of stickers that say use only with PCM receivers. |
